Born and raised in Michigan. I have always loved Detroit, it’s history and have always defended it’s bad rap from outsiders. Not going to lie, Jon and his wife are amazing people and are a wonderful conversation. Their house is easily the best house on the block. Everything from pictures to their profile to the neighborhood description was spot on.
The neighborhood has seen better days but we all agreed that we never felt safer. Cameras and gate on site. Close to all things downtown. But our favorite part was the care Jon not only showed for his guests, but his neighborhood. He was up every morning walking his dog, picking up trash and just generally bring a great human and caring.
You will see real Detroit in this location but you will also see genuine hosts and top notch humans who care and give you hope and faith in humanity. You will absolutely love the house, but you will absolutely be inspired by good humans after your stay. 10/10.
